I do remove any heavy eye makeup if necessary but then I use the cleanser as part of my nighttime and morning routine and find it leaves my skin very soft and feeling hydrated. It doesn't leave it feeling tight or dry like some other I have used. I also apply the rice water cream afterwards as it adds another level of hydration.
